Thanks to the Conservative government, Devon County Council has an additional £208,657,000 to fix our roads over the next ten years and Plymouth City Council has an extra £11,469,000.
Part of this total funding means a 30% increased budget for roads this year alone (2023/24).
Each local council has to publish the roads it is spending the money on.

Where has the money come from?
The Prime Minister has recently announced significant additional funding for local roads.
The government is providing £8.3 billion of extra roads resurfacing funding for English local highway authorities between 2023/24 to 2033/34. This money will, over time, transform the condition of local roads, allowing all road users smoother, faster, and safer trips - paid for with savings delivered by the Prime Minister’s decision to cancel HS2 Phase 2.
