Transport Campaign

Rebecca is a passionate campaigner for better rail connectivity in her constituency of South West Devon. She has spoken in Parliament and the media about the need to complete the remedial works at Dawlish, prevent disruption caused by HS2 works, have Crosscountry trains call at Ivybridge and deliver the Plymouth Metro.

On 29th October 2024, Rebecca was selected as one of only two Conservative MPs on the cross-party Transport Committee. She has vowed to use her position on the important committee to demand answers from the Government on rail travel in South West Devon.

This is a growing archive of Rebecca's contributions.

Delivering her maiden speech during a debate on the Passenger Railway Services (Public Ownership) Bill, Rebecca spoke at length about improving the area's rail network. Watch here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=2gr5sB0_Cio&t=21s
