That’s a wrap on my Summer School!
We finished my summer school with the biggest challenge yet – the mock political party pitch.
The groups analysed data, looked at the realities of Government finances, debated priorities, and then created their own political parties, complete with policies and campaign pitches. They then presented their plans before facing questions.
I was incredibly impressed by the standard of every presentation. The confidence, teamwork and ideas on show were fantastic, and I know a few future politicians may well have taken part this week.
A huge congratulations as well to Lily, who was awarded the prize for the best essay. A very well-deserved winner.
Thank you to everyone who took part over the past few days, and to my super team who helped make the Summer School possible. It’s been a brilliant few days, and I hope everyone has gone away with a better understanding of what life in politics is really like.
