It was a real pleasure to attend a Marie Curie UK drop in recently and meet none other than Alison Steadman, best known for her role in Gavin & Stacey and ambassador for Marie Curie.
With new research from Marie Curie showing that nearly one in three people are still dying without the support they need, there is a real need that this must change.
In Parliament, I have continued to raise the importance of strengthening palliative and end of life care, making clear that improving access, capacity and workforce support must remain a priority. I am also proud to be working with St Luke's Hospice Plymouth to push for the funding from central government that these vital services need.
