Labour's Pensions Bill leaves behind Britain's grafters, the self-employed
On Monday I warned Labour that a gaping hole in their bill with leave the self-employed - the plumbers, electricians, start-up entrepreneurs and carpenters like my Dad - high and dry in their old age.
Auto-enrolment into pension schemes does not apply to the self-employed, despite just 16% of the self-employed actively saving into a workplace or personal pension. The bill also fails to determine if people are saving enough early enough.
