Many constituents have contacted me about the termination of Stagecoach’s Plymouth Plus season ticket for school students. These changes are clearly unaffordable for students travelling from the Moors to school in Plymouth using the Number 1 bus; the cost per child per term is set to increase from £238 to £444 – a nearly 100% increase.
I am calling on the Managing Director of Stagecoach South West to extend the Plymouth area pass to match the previously available Plymouth Plus area. This will save my constituents £201 per child a term.
