On Tuesday I met with Network Rail to discuss extending the platform at Ivybridge Station to allow more trains to stop.

Currently, many CrossCountry trains pass through Ivybridge Station without stopping because they are too long to stop at the station. This means that local people are forced to get the bus or drive to Plymouth, Totnes or Exeter instead, reducing the convenience of rail travel for our community.

This meeting was very helpful to understand how to make the strongest possible case to government.

With the funding for a feasibility study secure, I look forward to seeing the outcomes so we can work together to secure the funding for the project.
