It was a privilege to attend the French Ambassador’s Fete Nationale event in London this evening.
Today is Bastille Day, the French national day and they certainly know how to host a party! I’m a big fan of French cuisine!
I met with members of the French Navy at Turnchapel Wharf earlier in the year when we celebrated the Thales British/ French project building autonomous mine clearing ships for the Navy of both countries. It was great to be able to build on that relationship this evening.
With Brittany Ferries a key part of our local tourism offer too, we are always closer than we think to our French neighbours!
