As I mark my first year as the MP for South West Devon, I wanted to take a moment to thank local constituents for your trust, engagement and support over the last 12 months. It’s been an incredibly busy and rewarding year and I’m proud of the work my team and I have done to serve you.
Over the last year I have:
✅ Handled nearly 9,000 casework and policy inquiries
✅ Met with over 100 constituents at advice surgeries
✅ Spoken over 240 times in Parliament
✅ Sent out over 11,000 emails
✅ Spoke with hundreds of constituents on the doorstep
From SEND provision and housing, to holding South West Water to account over the Dousland burst pipe, and challenging broadband failures in rural areas, I’ve worked to ensure your voice is heard and your concerns acted upon. In Parliament, I've spoken out on health care, transport, housing, looked after children and much more!
I've loved visiting local school and community groups, meeting local business owners and farmers and supporting local projects over the last year. I'm always keen to meet more of you!
I remain immensely proud to represent our local communities and deeply committed to standing up for our area in the face of growing challenges. I will continue working hard to make sure your voice is heard.
As I mark this year, I want to hear about the issues that matter most to you. I have launched a short summer survey and would be grateful if you could take a few minutes to fill it out here:
