It was brilliant to be at the Team Plymouth Parliamentary Reception yesterday evening – and what a packed event it was!
Team Plymouth is a strategic partnership between Plymouth City Council, Babcock International Group, and HM Naval Base Devonport aimed at driving economic growth and creating opportunities for the city. It is also a collaboration between the city’s key organisations, from business and education to local government and community partners, all working together to promote Plymouth’s ambitions, attract investment, and make the city’s voice heard nationally.
Great to see such a range of Plymouth people in the room, from City College Plymouth, Plymouth Community Homes, Turnchapel Wharf, The Box Plymouth Theatre Royal Plymouth, University of Plymouth, Plymouth and South Devon Freeport and many, many more, and new faces like the team from Helsing.
With Plymouth named the National Centre for Marine Autonomy, and much of the work being developed on this in Turnchapel, Langage and Sherford in South West Devon, it is an exciting time with much to look forward to.
