Happy World Book Day!
I had a lovely time at The Broadway Plymstock, hosted by the Divino Lounge on Saturday. It was fun to read some books including The Gruffalo and my old favourite, Peepo by Janet and Alan Ahlberg, to some lovely little listeners and their families ahead of World Book Day over the weekend!
There’s nothing quite like seeing the faces of children light up when a story comes alive. Whether it’s The Gruffalo, Beatrix Potter’s classic tales, or anything in between, reading with children is such a simple joy and it’s amazing to watch their imaginations, curiosity and love of learning grow.
Thanks to the St Luke's Hospice Bookshop on the Broadway too for embracing the event. I bought some extra stories for when my niece and nephew come to visit!
Hope everyone gets a chance to share a story today...and maybe even discover a new favourite!
