I’m thrilled to see that defence tech company Helsing is opening the UK’s first Resilience Factory within South West Devon!
This investment will bring high-quality jobs, innovation, and growth to our community, strengthening the South West’s position as a leader in defence technology and marine autonomy.
The factory within my constituency will focus on manufacturing AI-powered miniature submarines designed to protect critical underwater infrastructure for allied navies, which is part of a £350 million investment.
It was great to see the important work Helsing is doing onboard HMS Sutherland recently, and I look forward to visiting the factory over the recess!
