Many of you will remember the petition I launched last year to save Tubb Pharmacy in Newton Ferrers - an essential service for the communities of Newton Ferrers and Noss Mayo.

Last week, I raised this again in Parliament. Pharmacist Esi and the wider community continue to work tirelessly, but without urgent Government action, the pharmacy’s future remains uncertain.

Community pharmacies like Tubb are essential. They are the front door of the NHS in rural areas and play a key role in Pharmacy First and easing pressure on primary care.

I’ve urged the Government to deliver sustainable funding and a clear operational model.
