It was great to meet with staff at Plymstock School last week. Although, it was a non-pupil day, the school was still full of incredible energy.
It was also a real pleasure to speak with Mr. Koehler-Lewis about the challenges faced by SEND students, the growing impact of mobile phone use in schools, and concerns about road safety on Church Road - something I’ll be raising again with the Council to get an update and a clear timeline for change.
It’s clear that Plymstock School is led by a passionate team who are deeply committed to delivering a high-quality, inclusive education. I was particularly impressed by their proactive approach to wellbeing, encouragement of personal growth, and their continued focus on supporting every child to reach their full potential.
Thank you to all the staff for your warm welcome and for all that you do to support students and families.
