It was great to catch up last week with Cllr Dan Thomas, Leader of South Hams District Council, and Andy Bates, the Council’s Chief Executive, to discuss some key priorities for our area.
One of the issues we discussed was funding for a feasibility study to extend the platforms at Ivybridge Station. This is something I have championed since my election last year and would be a real boost for the local rail service.
We also spent time discussing the ongoing conversation around Local Government Reorganisation, with a shared commitment to ensuring any future changes work in the best interests of our communities. Alongside this we also had a great conversation about the planned facilities for Sherford residents in the near future.
