Last week I visited Plymouth Marjon University's new Health and Wellbeing Hub, which opened its doors to students and the community back in September. This impressive facility provides a modern base for healthcare education while also supporting local wellbeing services. It was also great to catch-up with Vice-Chancellor Claire Taylor to hear more about the vision behind it.
The Hub itself brings together practical training environments and new digital technology so that students can develop the skills they need for modern healthcare careers. I even got to see their incredible VR facilities and try them out!
Thank you to Claire and the staff who showed me around this brilliant facility and for sharing the vision for what this facility will achieve. It’s an exciting step forward for the university and for the wider city! You can find out more about Marjon’s Health and Wellbeing Hub here: www.marjon.ac.uk/mhw/health-wellbeing-hub/
