Following a letter to I sent to FirstPort, co-signed with a number of colleagues, highlighting our deep concerns on behalf of constituents across the country, I have met their national management team with fellow MPs in Parliament. FirstPort was left in no doubt about the level of frustration and anger felt in communities like Sherford and Saltram Meadow, and up and down the country.
They agreed to outline all properties they manage in South West Devon, provide clarity on what residents can expect from them and set out how they will be working in the future to ensure you get the service you deserve. They have also promised to resolve all individual outstanding casework which I will hold them to!
A follow-up meeting will be arranged with MPs to monitor improvement - I will use this to hold them to their word! I will continue to raise the property management company's failings in Parliament and call for a debate on their work.
