Summer School: Day 2
Another brilliant day with so many enthusiastic young people at my summer school.
This morning started at Plympton Library, where the group took part in a session looking at the role social media plays in politics. From there, we headed out to deliver my summer survey around Underwood Road and Underlane.
For lots of the group, it was their first time out on the doors so it was great to see everyone getting stuck in, chatting to residents and growing in confidence as the day went on. Well done to you all!!
Afterwards, I popped back into Plympton Library to pick up a new book for the summer (always impossible to leave empty-handed!) before heading over to the The Sir Joshua Reynolds with some of the fantastic volunteer team who have helped make the summer school happen. I really couldn’t have done it without them, and I’m so grateful for all the time and effort they’ve put in over the past few days.
It’s been fantastic watching everyone grow in confidence over the past couple of days and really throw themselves into every activity. Thank you to everyone who has taken part and helped make it such a great few days!
