Rebecca launches survey to have your day on Plymouth's parking charges

Plymouth City Council is currently consulting on a range of proposed increases to parking charges across Plymouth.

These include increases to on-street parking, residential permits and council-owned car parks, as well as new charges at some locations that are currently free to use.

Local Conservative councillors and campaigners want to understand residents’ views on these proposals and how they might affect people who live, work and visit the city.

The short survey below asks for your views on the proposed parking changes, how parking costs affect visits to the city centre and local businesses, and what improvements you would like to see in council car parks.

Please take a minute to complete the survey below:

Plymouth City Council is proposing a new £2 charge for stays over one hour at coastal car parks such as Jennycliff and Mount Batten. Do you support or oppose this proposal?
Some residents have suggested the council should resurface and improve car parks like the one in Jennycliff before introducing new charges. Do you agree?
Do you think introducing charges would reduce anti-social behaviour or long-stay parking at Jennycliff car park?
If charges are introduced, how long should parking remain free before payment is required?
