Learning from sheep and cattle farmers

It was great to visit Bromstead Farm on the NFU - National Farmers' Union Food and Farming Fellowship scheme. I've met with lots of farmers in South West Devon and spoken a great deal about the disastrous impact of Labour's Family Farm Tax.

However, I'm keen to learn more so I can be the best possible champion for our local farmers. The NFU's scheme provides a unique opportunity to learn about arable, pastoral and mixed farming across the UK. At Bromstead I learnt about processing and butchery, supply chains and sustainable farming practices. Our farmers do incredible work feeding the nation on extremely fine margins.
