Today is #BackBritishFarmingDay, a chance to recognise the huge contribution farmers make to our food security, rural communities and economy.
When farmers are being squeezed to their limit under this Labour Government, we should be supporting their future and recognising how vital they are for food security, our rural economy, and the management of our countryside - not penalising them. Over the past year, I’ve had the opportunity to meet with farmers right across South West Devon who have shared their concerns about rising costs, particularly the impact the Family Farms Tax is having on our farming communities.
Our farmers deserve certainty and support. On Back British Farming Day, I’ll keep making their voices heard.
