Unusually, I’m not in the constituency this weekend as I’m off to a wedding in the Lake District! But, I spent today meeting key local defence employers at the huge global defence industry event, DSEI 25 in London before I left.
With exhibitors from across the World, it was great to catch up with Turnchapel Wharf based business - ACUA Ocean, Helsing who have recently announced a new manufacturing facility for their underwater surveillance drones in Plympton, and Babcock who shared more about their new facility at Sherford.
It was also a great opportunity to meet with businesses interested in making the most of the Plymouth and South Devon Freeport at Langage and Sherford in the constituency.
