Next time you buy a packet of Wrigley's chewing gum check the packaging and you will see that it is made right here in Plymouth! Mars Wrigley employs more than 70 people from South West Devon in their Estover factory, and many more from the wider area.
Last Monday I met with Dean Duke from Wrigley to learn more about their Plymouth factory which I hope to visit soon. Wrigley actively engages with local areas by funding community cleanups and donating to food banks. I was particularly encouraged by the company's enthusiasm to support initiatives which can improve oral health in Plymouth and the wider area. I am keen to take this further.
