Thank you to everyone who’s continued to share their concerns about vehicle-related anti-social behaviour in Mount Batten and Hooe. I wanted to share a further update I have received from Plymouth City Council on the action they have been taking since my meeting with them a few weeks ago.
I have been advised that the Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO) to help address these issues will go to Cabinet on the 8th September.
Following a recent ASB review, several actions are also being planned or explored, including targeted traffic operations with support from enforcement agencies, increased police focus on vehicle-related ASB, potential use of noise monitoring equipment, and education campaigns aimed at young people to raise awareness about the impact of their actions.
I am pleased to see the Council are taking action to address this matter but please do continue to report incidents to both the Council and Devon and Cornwall police here:
Council: www.plymouth.gov.uk/report-anti-social-behaviour
Devon and Cornwall Police: http://www.devon-cornwall.police.uk/.../report.../
Thank you for your continued engagement and I will of course continue to update you as and when I receive any further information.
