Rebecca quizzes Minister on Rural England Prosperity Fund

My farmers have highlighted the role that the Rural England Prosperity Fund could play in driving growth in our local rural economy. Its grant funds capital projects for small businesses and community infrastructure, giving rural communities a hand up.

This week the Government announced its English Devolution White Paper, promising a major shake-up of local authorities. While we wait on detail for what this means for Plymouth City Council, Devon County Council and South Hams and West Devon District Councils, I asked the Minister for Food Security and Rural Affairs what conversations he has had with the Department for Local Government to ensure the Rural England Prosperity Fund is used to make a success of devolution and drive growth locally.
