Celebrating local Litter Heroes ahead of the Great British Spring Clean!
Brilliant to drop in to a Keep Britain Tidy event in Parliament recently along with Dr John Mahony - Community Campaigner in Plymstock Radford, the Lord Mayor's Consort, ahead of the Great British Spring Clean, which runs until the 29th March.
It was great to meet Vaishali from Plymstock, who was recognised for her work as a Litter Hero for her commitment to improve the environment where she lives. I also caught up with the Clean Our Patch CIC team, including Ash and El, who were both nominated for the Leading Litter Hero Award...and went on to win! So well deserved, and a real reflection of the wider effort by volunteers across Plymouth and the South Hams.
