I recently attended the Stamp Out Spiking drop-in, where MPs were given an preview of their new national awareness campaign to tackle this devastating and often unseen crime.
It was incredibly valuable to hear from the charity about the scale of spiking, its lasting impact on victims, and the urgent need for stronger prevention, education and support.
With the Government saying that it is committed to making violence against women and girls a national policing priority, I will be holding the Government to account to ensure this translates into real action.
A huge thank you to Stamp Out Spiking for leading this important work and for continuing to raise awareness of such a serious issue.
