It was a real privilege to speak ahead of the Reclaim the Night march in Plymouth last night as people right across the city came together to challenge violence, harassment and fear faced by women and girls.
Led by Trevi Women, the march was also a chance to see the organisation’s work in action and catch up with Amanda, Trevi’s CEO. It also highlighted the role men must play, with groups such as M.A.N Culture engaging men to be part of the solution in ending violence against women and girls.
Also great to see members from the Plymouth Deaf Association who were signing the speeches too!
Reclaim the Night is a reminder that tackling violence against women and girls is a shared responsibility. It’s one that requires all of us to challenge harmful behaviour, call it out and work together to create safer communities.
