Today is "International Day of Action for Rivers".
It is also the day when John Mildway-White from Wild about the River Erme (WATER) and the Flete Estate at Mothecombe completed an incredible 600km run to Westminster.
Coincidentally, I had longstanding plans to be in London today so I was really pleased to be able to join the huge group of family and friends who welcomed John and his brilliant support crew to Westminster Bridge this afternoon.
The Erme River which heads from Dartmoor, through Ivybridge and down to the sea at Mothecombe is an important and much loved watercourse in South West Devon. If you’re interested in supporting the work of local group, WATER "Wild About The Erme River", you can still donate via John’s Justgiving page. Link in the comments below.
