It was a pleasure to catch up with Boringdon Primary School Headteacher Matt Stace on Friday to visit the new nursery, Bright Beginnings.
I learned about these exciting plans during my visit to the school last year and it is amazing to see how far the nursery has come since then. ‘Bright Beginnings at Boringdon’ is now open to applications for children aged 3-4. Do check it out if you’re looking for a local nursery. Wrap around care is starting later in the year too!
Lead by Mrs Hewish, the preschool offers hands‑on activities with a focus on social, emotional and academic development, providing the perfect foundation for a smooth and successful transition into primary school. I thoroughly enjoyed meeting the children and joining in their activities.
I also got to see the culmination of some casework which came from the school. I’m very pleased there is no longer a giant puddle by the back entrance to the school!
