Last week I had the opportunity to visit the CMS (Child Maintenance Service) centre in Roborough and see firsthand the important work being done to support children and families across the country.
A big thank you to Tim, Katie, and Hayley for showing me around the site and introducing me to the teams working across casework, arrears, and enforcement. It was clear how much dedication and professionalism goes into helping parents navigate what are often very complex and emotional situations.
I was also pleased to learn about recent improvements to the application process - what used to take up to 40 minutes can now be completed online in just 15–20 minutes, making access to support faster and more efficient for families who need it most.
Thank you to everyone for the warm welcome and for the vital work you do every day to help ensure children receive the financial support they deserve.
