A great morning at Hele’s School

It was great to kick off the summer recess with a visit to Hele's School this morning.

Lovely to be welcomed by Head Boy Elliott and Head Girl Connie before speaking to Year 12 students as they prepare to begin their final year of A-levels. Really good to speak to them about careers, the different routes into work, and why it’s okay not to have everything figured out just yet.

A big thank you to Headteacher, Ms. Clapham for then showing me around the school. It was great to see so much of what pupils are getting involved in, from the Design and Technology department, where I bumped into Elliott again and heard more about the impressive project he’s been working on, to the fantastic Drama department, who are already busy preparing their next whole-school musical of ‘We Will Rock You’ for the spring. I’m sure it’s going to be a fantastic production, and I wish everyone involved the best as plans get underway!

Thank you to everyone for such a warm welcome and for inviting me to come and see you all!
