It was a real pleasure to be invited back to Ivybridge Community College and meet with Mrs Warne and Mr Farrell to discuss the school’s approach to supporting pupils with SEND and other vulnerable learners, and how inclusion is embedded across the college.
During my tour of the school, I saw the fantastic work happening in The Beacon inclusion hub to support young people, visited the English block and explored other areas where students are supported to thrive.
I also met with Mr Lockley to hear more about discussions around smartphone use in schools and finished the morning with Mr Hayward talking about the school’s Finish Line strategy which is helping students stay focused and achieve their exam goals.
Another brilliant visit to a fantastic school that is supporting students of all abilities and needs. Thank you to all the staff for such a warm welcome and for the vital work you do every day to support young people in Ivybridge and beyond.
