An evening at Plympton Bowling Club!
It was fantastic to visit Plympton Bowling Club on Friday and meet so many of its members.
I even had the chance to bowl the opening bowl of the evening, and I think it’s fair to say I still need a little more practice! A big thank you to coach Peter for patiently showing me the ropes.
It was also lovely to meet Graham, Junior Vice President of Bowls Devon, and his wife Susan, chat with Lissa, the Club Captain, and, to my surprise, bump into one of my primary school teachers, Jim White. It really is a small world!
A big thank you to Chairman Chris, President Jan and everyone at the club for making me feel so welcome.
Plympton Bowling Club is a fantastic community club and a real asset to our area. If you’ve ever thought about getting involved, they welcome both playing and non-playing members, where you can enjoy all the excitement that bowls offers alongside board games and good company. The club runs open sessions every Friday and would be delighted to welcome new faces.
