Last Wednesday I voted against Labour's smoking and vaping ban in pub gardens.
I recently launched my competition to find the best pub in South West Devon and have spoken a great deal about the damage this Labour Government is causing to our locals. The Labour Chancellor's tax raid is pushing publicans to breaking point, forcing the average price of a pint to over £5!
Their latest ploy, banning smoking in pub gardens, will make it harder for people who smoke or vape to visit pubs, reducing sales and driving our local pubs even closer to breaking point!
While I support policies which help reduce the harmful impacts of smoking, this is a policy which will achieve little and unfairly targets pubs.
