Rebecca votes to protect Jury Trials

Yesterday, Conservative MPs voted to protect the right to a jury trial – a cornerstone of our justice system dating back to the Magna Carta.

Labour and Reform had the chance to defend this fundamental right, but Labour voted against it and Reform didn’t even show up. A minister even confirmed yesterday that Labour would press ahead with these plans regardless of court backlogs.

Only the Conservatives will scrap this ridiculous move by the Department for Justice and protect your right to a fair trial.
