It’s always a pleasure to meet schools from South West Devon when they visit Parliament. On Tuesday, I was delighted to spend time with Year 12 students and teachers from Plympton Academy after their tour.
Students studying sociology, criminology, history and English media all asked thoughtful and insightful questions on a wide range of issues. We grabbed a quick photo in Westminster Hall before the students headed off to meet members of the House of Lords.
It’s always great to see young people from South West Devon taking an interest in how Parliament works. I was also pleased to use the visit to tell the students about my summer school and work experience opportunities.
