Speaking on her work experience scheme, Rebecca reflected:
I know how challenging it is to get start your career off the ground. I did not grow up in a political family and Westminster felt a long way from home in Devon. When Sir Gary Streeter, the previous MP for South West Devon, offered me work experience in his office it opened doors which I never knew existed. I hope this I can make a small difference in young people's careers by offering a regular programme of work experience.

I am incredibly grateful to Rebecca and her team for giving me the opportunity to learn the inner workings of an MP's office. I gained hands-on experience across a variety of tasks, from drafting press releases to conducting constituent casework research. I was also fortunate to accompany Rebecca on site visits, meeting local constituents and witnessing first-hand the impact of her work.
Her approachable and inspiring nature, along with the way she engages with the community, has been a powerful learning tool for me. The experience has been invaluable in bridging the gap between graduating and joining the professional world, enhancing both my confidence and CV.

This is why I am forever grateful to Rebecca and her team of wonderful people for offering me this opportunity and allowing me to experience a variety of different everyday work tasks, such as social media writing, and also allowing me to experience many parliamentary debates, committee meetings and tasks for the everyday life of an MP.
